I stayed in a hotel for several months until an apartment was found, temporarily. I stayed at 15 places for almost 17 months before I was able to move back into my place. I ended up with PTSD, prior to moving back in. I’ve seen three counselors. I still have PTSD, when I see fire trucks with their sirens on. 

The thought of only getting 70% of my claim, through the PG&E lawsuit just doesn't seem fair at all! I'm 70 years old now and disabled. When the date comes of the fires, now almost seven years ago, I still feel the urge to cry. 

I was a victim of the 2018 Camp Fire in Paradise, CA. The fire wiped out the majority of our town and killed 86 people. Our community was no more. Our family, myself, and both of my grown children, lived in Paradise. We each lost a home. We are now scattered. One in Oroville, myself in Corning, and my son recently moved back to Paradise. Our lives and our trajectory were forever changed on that day. We still suffer emotional scars, grief, and PTSD from recurring fires. And although I've been in counseling since the fire, it has done little to lessen the grief or the PTSD.

The PG&E fire of 2018 completely destroyed my life and everything I had ever acquired in life, including the home I would have inherited that housed my entire lifetime of belongings. It’s going on six years, and I still have only received 60 percent of my award amount.
